Society and Environment

Responsibility is a part of Tapiola's business strategy. The goal is to exceed official regulations and to act as a pioneer in utilizing and developing responsible conduct. The development of responsibility policy is based on the Tapiola Group's companies'  various roles in society.

Tapiola has adopted responsibility commitments to customers, personnel, the environment and society that guide its operations. The results regarding responsibility are presented in the corporate social responsibility report. 

Responsibility for customers

Tapiola promises to communicate about its products and services clearly and understandably and to improve their quality and the transparency of our operations. Tapiola wants to make its customers' voices heard even more strongly in its operations and their development.

The profit of Tapiola's business is used for customer benefits, premium discounts and to strengthen the solidity which is significant for the risk-carrying capacity.

Responsibility for personnel

Tapiola encourages its supervisors to take an active approach to managerial work and require them to have an unbiased attitude to employees' work performance. Tapiola wants every employee to know what responsibility means in their duties. Tapiola is committed to improving its employees' wll-being at work. 

Environmental responsibility

Tapiola’s environmental policy is based on the values and strategy of the Group. Tapiola has confirmed an environmental plan, which strengthens the linkage between environmental and social responsibility.

Tapiola is committed to reducing its impact on then environment and climate. Tapiola is increasing online service provision and developing eco-efficient methods. Tapiola is increasing its competence to better anticipate the needs of loss prevention and risk management. Tapiola supports its customers by offering e.g. risk appraisals and consulting in loss prevention.  

Responsibility to society

Insurance and banking businesses have a significant effect on society and people's everyday lives. Tapiola wants to influence values and promote responsibility in society. Tapiola is committed to taking care of social stability by keeping its operations profitable and financially sound. Tapiola is also committed to promoting financial literacy.
